Stuffy nose is one of the first signs of a cold. If you are more into using alternative medicine instead of going to your local pharmacy, keep on reading because we present to you some of the greatest natural remedies for treating a stuffy nose.

Garlic Cloves

Garlic is known to have anti-fungal and anti-bacterial benefits, so it will help you with your stuffy nose. Slice up a few cloves and put them in a small pot, add some water, heat it until steaming and then inhale it. But be careful with the hot steam, it could easily burn your nose. For better effect, put a towel onto your head.

Face Massage

Massage your sinuses with your fingers to increase circulation and ease the pain. Use your index fingers, press hard on the outer edge of your nostrils at the base of the nose. Hold it for 30 seconds and repeat it for 3-4 times.

Hot Ginger Compress

Slice up a medium-size ginger root, put it in a boiling water, cover and simmer on low heat for 20 minutes. After it cooled down a little, soak a washcloth into the brew. Apply to your face and leave it on for 15 minutes. Do it while lying on a bed with your head elevated.
