With the coronavirus still very much a huge part of our lives, it’s important to find ways to cope with the stress and anxiety that comes with living during a pandemic. In 2020, wellness trends became super popular and we were finally able to give self-care practices a try since we had tons of free time. This year, wellness practices will continue to be trendy, and here are three to implement into your life.
Mindful Eating
When scrolling through social media, it seems like everybody became a home chef and learned how to cook in 2020. After cooking meals at home, we were able to see what we were putting into our bodies and find healthier alternatives to processed foods. This year, try and cut out foods that are processed and replace them with foods with nutritional value.
Traditional Chinese Methods
It’s time to finally try new healing techniques like the traditional Chinese methods of drinking herbal teas and using essential oils.
Meditation & Breathwork
With gyms closed or not safe to work out in and social distancing restrictions limiting our interactions with friends and family, we’ve had to come up with new ways to cope with stress. Meditation and breathwork are the answer to this as they relieve anxiety while helping you stay in the present moment. When trying these techniques, remember that they take time and patience to get right.
