Every Host Should Know How to Make These Drinks

Chances are you’re either hosting or you’ve been invited to some holiday parties this season. Good food and drinks can really make or break the party, so don’t be left without any idea. Cosmopolitan suggests having three types of drinks as your go-to’s: a fruity and sweet one, a non-alcoholic one, and a cocktail.

Mai Tai

This is your fruity one; it also happens to be quite refreshing. It will bring you back to memories of your girl-trip that you took earlier this year. All you need is 1 1/2 oz White rum, 1/2 oz Fresh lime juice, 1/2 oz Orange Curacao, 1/2 oz Orgeat syrup, and 3/4 oz Dark rum. If you want to be extra, top it off with fresh pineapple and a maraschino cherry.

Pink Lemonade

It’s always important to have a non-alcoholic drink, especially for your responsible friend who’s driving everyone else. This drink couldn’t be easier to make and all you need is 1 cup white sugar, 6 cups water, 1 cup fresh lemon, and 1/2 cup cranberry juice.

Gimlet

Don’t worry if this looks complicated, it’s just a fancier take on a gin and tonic, with an ice sphere in the drink. Just add 2 1/2 oz Gin, 1/2 oz Fresh lime juice, and 1/2 oz Simple syrup. If you want to be over-the-top add an edible flower or gold leaf.
