The film’s biggest night returned to the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday and gave us another red carpet to remember. Our favorite stars brought their A-fashion game to this year’s Academy Awards and put these amazing fashion trends on the map.

White Gowns

If we had to pick a single red carpet trend that this year’s Oscars will be remembered by, angelic white gowns would make the cut. The list of celebrities wearing them this year is pretty much endless and it includes Emily Blunt, Michelle Yeoh, Halle Berry, Tems, Mindy Kaling, Michelle Williams, and many more.

Corset Bonanza

Corsets have been experiencing a rise for quite some time, and the Oscars proved they’re here to stay. Lady Gaga, Mindy Kaling, Halle Bailey, and Zoe Saldana are only some of the stars to wear exposed corsets at this year’s ceremony.

Ruffles & Tulle

Nothing says “drama” like ruffled and tulle dresses, and they were everywhere at this year’s Oscars. Florence Pugh, Cara Delevingne, Angela Bassett, Halle Bailey, and Tems were some of the stars to embrace this trend.

Splashes of Silver

Some of the most spectacular dresses at this year’s Oscars came in metallic silver shades. Kate Hudson, Fan Bing Bing, and Malala Yousafzai put this trend on the map, and Jessica Chastain sealed the deal by mixing silver and black together.
