The stars showed up to the MTV VMAs on September 12 and like any awards show, there were some hits and misses. We saw tons of feathers, leather, and sequin and some looks really packed a statement in all of the best ways. These were the top five looks of the night that we can’t stop thinking about.
Camila Cabello
Camila Cabello is currently starring in Cinderalla and she proved she can be the belle of the ball with this amazing satin pink and red Alexis Mabille Couture gown that featured a giant bow.
Olivia Rodrigo
Not only was Olivia Rodrigo the big winner of the night, winning three awards, she also slayed the red carpet in this strapless Atelier Versace Spring/Summer 2001 Haute Couture mermaid dress that consisted of laters of magenta tulle over coral satin lining. She really channeled Y2K fashion!
Ciara
There were tons of sheer dresses at the MTV VMAs, but Ciara put a classy spin on it with this black lacy Tom Ford one that showed just the right amount of skin.
Lil Nas X
Lil Nas X always makes a statement on the red carpet and this lavender Atelier Versace suit is giving us total Prince vibes. Between the bedazzled jacket to the showstopping train, the suit is giving us life.
Madison Beer
This rose pink silk and leather corset Dolce & Gabanna dress may look familiar as it’s what Beyoncé wore back in 2003 to The Late Show With David Letterman. It’s totally on-trend with the Y2K style that’s popping up everywhere.
