Pancakes for breakfast? Yes, please!
Pancakes Batter
- 1 ¼ cups Flour
- 1 tbsp Sugar
- 1 Egg
- 1 cup Milk
- 1 ½ tsp Baking Powder
- ½ tsp Cinnamon
- ¼ tsp Nutmeg
- ½ tsp Salt
- 2 tbsp Vegetable Oil
- 1 Apple – peeled and diced
Streusel Topping
- ¼ cup Flour
- ¼ cup Oats
- ¼ cup Brown Sugar
- ½ tsp Cinnamon
- 45g Butter
The Preparation
Firstly, you need to prepare the streusel. In a medium bowl mix together all the dry ingredients, then add the butter and mix it with a fork until it becomes crumbly.
In another bowl, add the flour, brown sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. Mix it all together by using a whisk, then add the egg, milk and oil. Peel and dice the apple and put it into the pancake batter.
Use a nonstick pan and for each pancake pour ¼ cup batter onto the hot pan. Sprinkle the pancake with the streusel mixture, press it slightly so it could stick better to the pancake. Cook it for about 2 or 3 minutes, then turn it, and cook the other side for another 2-3 minutes. And voila! Your yummy pancakes are ready!
