The Rise In Digital Marketing

With the rise in technology, the need for digital marketers has increased. So what exactly is digital marketing? To answer this, we have to compare it to traditional marketing which uses things such as business cards, print ads in newspapers and magazines, posters, and billboards. Digital marketing refers to using platforms such as social media, websites, YouTube videos, and banner ads. The way it works is that businesses put content out for individuals to click on and that’s how they make a profit.

Earning a Marketing Degree Online

As we mentioned before, online programs will give you more flexibility with the time it takes to complete the degree and you’ll get the benefits of distance learning. While it usually takes four years to complete a bachelor’s on-campus, there are options to complete accelerated programs online or you can take your time and study part-time. In general, online programs are designed to take two years to finish.

In regards to the accelerated programs, it can take as little as one year to complete the degree, which means that you’ll have the advantage of looking for jobs sooner than those who take four years to complete their degree. This may seem ideal in theory, but you’ll have to finish a whole semester’s work in a matter of a few weeks and the workload is really intense.
