A Vegan Mac And Cheese Recipe You Will Love

Who doesn’t love a good mac and cheese for lunch, right? However, if your diet is dairy free, it still doesn’t mean you have to give up on this yummy meal. Ingredients:

  • pasta
  • ¾ cup softened cashews
  • ¾ cup nutritional years
  • 2 cups vegetable broth
  • 3 tbs cornstarch
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp mustard powder
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp turmeric

You will also need a blender.

The Process:

Cook your pasta in a large bowl. In another bowl, soften the cashews in boiling water for about 10 minutes. When they are cooked, drain them and rinse them with cold water. Put the cashews into the blender, and add the nutritional yeast, the veggie broth, the cornstarch, the sea salt, the garlic powder, the mustard power, the smoked paprika and the turmeric. Blend it all together, until it is all mixed smoothly. Pour the sauce over the pasta, and cook it on medium heat, until it becomes creamy. Voila! Your mastered the vegan mac and cheese!
