After a lot of anticipation, the Met Gala finally returned to New York City this Monday night and gave us another red carpet to remember. “The Garden of Time” dress code served as a great source of inspiration and delivered many red carpet trends that knocked us off our feet.

Flower Power

Many stars took a pretty literal approach to this year’s Met Gala theme and hit the red carpet in extravagant floral outfits, including Zendaya, Gigi Hadid, Sydney Sweeney, Cynthia Erivo, and Nicki Minaj.

Gothic Moments

Gothic glamour is one of the most unexpected and theatrical trends to emerge at this year’s Met Gala. Many stars stepped into “The Garden of Time” in edgy outfits with a gothic vibe, including Zendaya, Bad Bunny, Dua Lipa, Cardi B, and Lana Del Rey.

Sheer Gowns

Beige was one of the most surprising colors trending at this year’s Met Gala, and we’ve seen Tyla and Mindy Kaling use it to evoke the sands of time. Nude and sheer gowns in general were having a moment, and we owe this trend to Jennifer Lopez, Doja Cat, Elle Fanning, and Janelle Monáe.

Make it Shine

This year’s Met Gala was all about metallic, sparkly accents, and Gabrielle Union, Jennifer Lopez, Rachel Zegler, Kim Kardashian, Keke Palmer, and Anok Yai were shining brighter than ever on the red carpet.
