When it comes to nail files, it’s hard to get excited. As long as they do the trick, we aren’t too fussed about where they’ve come from and what makes them better than another bog-standard file. Our complacency was challenged, however, when we were introduced to the crystal glass nail file.
After years of throwing away old nail files because they just stopped being effective, it’s hard not to get excited by a nail file that doesn’t need regular replacing. What’s more, crystal glass nail files are much better for your nails. Emery nail files can be a little rough on your nails and if the grit is too rough, it can cause damage. Crystal nail files, on the other hand, are much gentler and don’t result in unwanted flaking.
One of the other issues with emery nail files is that they are supposed to be used in one direction only. Going back and forth is what causes nails to splinter. With a crystal glass nail file, you can use it in any direction for a smooth and rounded finish.
Ultimately, a nail file is still a nail file and this won’t be the most exciting addition to your manicure kit. Still, your nails will thank you for the upgrade and when your friends catch on, they will thank you too.
