Summer is finally in full swing, and most people are turning to air conditioning to keep the scorching heat at bay. That’s not an option for everyone, and if you can’t turn on the AC for whatever reason, we’re here to help you cool down your home using natural methods

Fans to the Rescue

Fans can be used as a replacement for the AC, and they’ll be more effective if you place them strategically, in front of a window or even with some ice in front of them, to keep the air cool.

Blinds & Curtains

Use blackout curtains and blinds to your advantage this summer, because they can shield you from the summer heat by blocking out the sunlight during the day.

Closed & Open Windows

If you’re using the previous hack, it’s best to close your windows during the day. Once the temperature drops at night, feel free to open them again to let the fresh air in.

Breathable Bedding

Keeping yourself cold during the night won’t be easy even if your windows are open, but bedding made from breathable, moisture-wicking materials can come in handy.

Cooking Hacks

Cooking is best left for mornings and evenings when the temperatures tend to be lower, but you should also consider doing it outside if possible.
